AYT Asana — Level 1
Foundational postures and movement principles, with alignment, positioning, transitions and appropriate modifications.
BEGIN YOUR PRACTICE · BUILD YOUR FOUNDATION
Begin your practice. Learn to guide others.
Build the foundation for something of your own.
Led by Ravshiva, founder of Allow Yoga Therapy →
THE AYT DIFFERENCE
AYT brings together Ravshiva’s formal training and certifications, decades of practice and teaching, and lessons from applying these practices through his own life.
Level 1 connects movement, breath, awareness, meditation, assisted practice, traditional disciplines and personal exploration. You’ll learn foundational principles and explore them responsibly, developing understanding through experience and continued learning.
Ravshiva provides knowledge and guidance from which you can begin finding your own path. The goal is an integrated foundation you can continue to develop.

Saturday & Sunday
Up to 5 hours per day
Across four weekends, the program offers up to approximately 40 instructional hours. Session lengths may vary; not every class will last five hours.
A training day may weave together asana, breath, meditation, discussion, hands-on practice, assists, mantra, Kundalini concepts and practical application. Each weekend builds on the last.
Cohort dates and training venue will be confirmed with AYT. The first cohort will help us evaluate pacing and refine future cohorts based on student experience and instructional outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPLORE
Foundational postures and movement principles, with alignment, positioning, transitions and appropriate modifications.
Basic hands-on concepts and safe introductory assists, with attention to consent and individual comfort.
Foundational breath practices exploring the relationship between breath, body and awareness.
Practical introductory methods to develop personally and incorporate appropriately into your practice.
An introduction to concepts and practices associated with Kundalini yoga and energy traditions.
Explore sound, repetition and contemplative practice through an introduction to mantra.
Discover devotional and community chanting and its place within yogic traditions.
Connect physical practice, breath, attention, meditation and energetic awareness.
These elements are integrated throughout the weekends, rather than taught as separate courses. The curriculum will evolve with each cohort, and complementary material may be incorporated where appropriate.
FROM PERSONAL PRACTICE TO PRACTICAL POSSIBILITY
Develop your skills—and learn how to begin sharing them.
Introductory guidance covers practitioner identity, communicating your offering, finding initial private students, local marketing, social media and a simple web presence.
Explore classes and workshops, relationships with studios and wellness centers, and home-based or online offerings where appropriate to your skills and circumstances.
This is introductory business education. It does not promise employment, clients or income.
FLEXIBLE ATTENDANCE · AYT LEVEL 1 MAKE-UP POLICY
Real people. Real responsibilities.
A supported path to completion.
If work, family responsibilities, illness, emergencies, transportation issues or another unavoidable circumstance causes you to miss a required Level 1 session, you do not automatically lose the training you have already completed.
You do not have to restart the entire Level 1 program simply because you missed a training day. The corresponding missed Level 1 session may be completed with a future AYT Level 1 cohort, subject to scheduling and available space.
There is no additional tuition charge for the standard make-up of an already-paid Level 1 training module.
FOR EXAMPLE
If you complete Weekends 1 and 2 but cannot attend Weekend 3, you may attend the corresponding Level 1 Weekend 3 training in a later cohort and continue toward completion.
Certification is awarded only after successful completion of all required Level 1 components. Attendance and competency requirements remain in place.
